The Inspir-Embassy Row project, one of the first premier luxury senior living communities in Washington DC, featured two monumental interior limestone walls designed to evoke a natural mountain landscape. Rugo Stone collaborated closely with the design team to fabricate and install Grolla Beige Limestone split-face panels measuring up to 48″ x 22″, far exceeding industry standards. To achieve the desired color and texture, stone was custom produced in Italy from 6 to 8 inch thick slabs and hand-crafted to ensure seamless panel alignment. Following extensive dry-lay reviews and ADA-driven design adjustments, each of the 800 pound panels were installed with specialized rigging systems, resulting in a stunning architectural centerpiece.
Rugo Stone also installed an owner-supplied carved marble fireplace measuring 11 feet tall by 10 feet wide in the main hall. The completed project delivered a dramatic and highly successful result, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship, engineering, and collaboration.
