CASE STUDY

Hand-Carved Stone Engraving
Mercy Medical Center Lobby Engraving

This large medical center needed Rugo Carving Studio to engrave some very large stone panels. There were two carved stone panels; one is the Capital of Light stone, which we installed at the entry of the main lobby Chapel.

These are all hand-cut letters, meticulously carved by our artisans. The 2nd stone is the building dedication stone, installed in the building to commemorate the dedication. The dedication stone also features hand-cut letters and an elegant inlay cross of Irish Green marble and pure Belgium Black marble. The Sisters of Mercy manage the hospital and Irish order of Catholic nuns, and this cross is known as the Sisters of Mercy Cross.
