CASE STUDY

National Museum of American Diplomacy Center

The National Museum of American Diplomacy is located at the State Department Headquarters in Washington, DC. This new infill building sits inside an existing courtyard and serves as a gathering and museum space for the Owner. The Architect Hany Hassan FAIA has created a masterful design.

Rugo constructed all the interior Tennesee marble flooring and staircases, as well as all the exterior granite paving. We also performed all the restoration to the adjacent limestone and outer granite base and columns.

The project is a beautifully modern and elegant addition to a mid-20th-century government building and received the 2017 WBC Award for Interior stone craftsmanship.
