CASE STUDY

Rosary Walk and Garden

Rugo Stone acted as the general contractor for the complete transformation of a vacant wooded lot into an elegant rosary garden and walk designed to allow for pilgrims to pray.

The scope included tree removal, earth removal, and redistribution, compacted gravel sub-base, and sand set concrete pavers, which form a winding walkway. The project entailed excavation and placement of all concrete footings, plantings, irrigation systems, and electrical site lighting and sod, fabrication and installation of four free-standing granite columns and arches and solid granite benches, as well as solid granite planter bases for the Fatima sculpture scene.

Rugo also performed the rigging and installation of the Christ on the Cross and Fatima scene statues. We installed the Venetian glass mosaic panels displayed at each granite arch, which represent the Joyful, Sorrowful, the Glorious, and Luminous mysteries. The garden was dedicated on September 23rd, 2017, and is an excellent example of Rugo’s ability to perform a complex project as a General Contractor.
