Hand Carved Marble
The Veiled Lady

The Veiled Lady, also known as “The Bride,” is a re-creation of an original sculpture by the Italian sculptor Raphaelle Monti, who came to live and work in England in 1850. The marble used for this bust was a hand-selected block of fine-grained Statuario. First, a resin model was 3D scanned and modeled, and next, we milled the marble block in our CNC machine. Finally, the marble was hand carved to perfection. The veil on the face is perhaps the most intriguing feature of this art piece and the most difficult to carve. We are grateful for all our skilled craftsmen, led by our master carver with over four decades of experience in stone carving. This piece will reside in a private collection.
